Parish Registration for School Families

Parish Registration for School Families

Registration

Blessed Sacrament Parish subsidizes Blessed Sacrament Jesuit Preparatory School as an investment in the Catholic education of our young people, most especially the children of our parish families.  Although some families receive tuition assistance through the Catholic Education Foundation, many more families are provided financial support through the parish’s generous Adopt-a-Scholar program.

With our growing enrollment we are also experiencing the need of more families requesting financial assistance.  Being a parochial school, the parish subsidizes much of the cost and will provide a tuition reduction to families who are active registered parishioners.

Your registration affects our parish in many other ways.  Census numbers can determine how many priests are assigned to Blessed Sacrament, what benefits and obligations the community has to the Archdiocese, and how Masses, confessions, and devotions are planned and scheduled.

Registration shows you belong.  It is also necessary for certain benefits such as scheduling sacraments, obtaining sponsor certificates, and getting a donation statement for taxes.  More importantly, it lets the parish count on you, to call on you to assist in its mission.  Registering is a statement of faith and confidence in the life and work of Blessed Sacrament.

Blessed Sacrament Jesuit Preparatory School implements three tuition categories:
  • Reduced Tuition for Registered Parishioners
  • Reduced Tuition for Catholic Families Outside the Parish Boundaries
  • Full Tuition

Families, who are active, registered parishioners; receive a lower rate than families who are inactive or non- parishioners. In-parish tuition will be assigned only after parish registration has been verified. The church donation envelope system is used to confirm active membership. For this reason, parents are required to use the weekly church envelope.  A family must use their weekly church envelope for at least six months to be considered active, registered parishioners. The parish confirms and verifies registration to determine whether the family will receive the discounted rate. In addition, children benefiting from the reduced tuition must be baptized and Catholic.

Catholic families registered in a parish other than Blessed Sacrament may receive the reduced out-of-parish rate with a letter from their pastor confirming their active participation in their parish.

Families who are Non-Catholic or families with children who are not baptized will be assessed the full tuition. Catholic families who are not registered in their parish and/or do not show active membership in their parish will be assessed full tuition. We appreciate very much your continued support of Blessed Sacrament School and the sacrifices you make to enroll your children here.
